This is an excerpt that I extracted from the lecture "Muhammad in the Bible" by Ahmed Deedat.
His words inspired me. They are like a hard slap in the face. Although the slap was just a metaphor, but it feels so real.
I started to reflect on myself, how I fit well in
the title "spineless Muslims" like he said even though he was referring
to the Muslims in the west. Therefore, I will not let that title stand.
I want to do something about it.

Brothers and sisters,
Just deliver the message. That's what Allah asks of us. Hidayah is not your to give.
2:272 "It is not required of thee (O Messenger., to set them on the right path, but Allah sets on the right path whom He pleaseth. Whatever of good ye give benefits your own souls, and ye shall only do so seeking the "Face" of Allah. Whatever good ye give, shall be rendered back to you, and ye shall not Be dealt with unjustly."
88:21-22 “Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs."
Do not be afraid of rejection. That is written in your "job description". Remember, the greatest man on earth was once rejected far more violently that you are right now.
So seek knowledge and use them. Don't make an excuse saying that you're not good enough because none of us are good enough. If you want to wait until you're an expert before doing da'wah then you will continue to wait and wait and wait...
Compare these two. A boy who starts playing soccer right away and a boy who wants to study soccer until he's an expert first before playing. If both are on the field right now, who will play better? You tell me.
The key is experience. Just do it. You'll be better along the way. Insha Allah.
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Amr: The Prophet said, "Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single sentence, and tell others the stories of Bani Israel (which have been taught to you), for it is not sinful to do so. And whoever tells a lie on me intentionally, will surely take his place in the (Hell) Fire." (Sahih Bukhari) |
