Want to try something new for sahur or 'buka puasa' (break fasting) tomorrow? Why not try this Sweet and Sour Red Tilapia recipe? (If the image does not stimulate your taste buds, I don't know what will.)
Just follow these simple steps and, insya-Allah, the dish will come out beautifully ;)
- Red tilapia
- Red onion
- Red chilies
- Chili sauce
- Turmeric powder (to fry the fish)
- 'Daun sup'
- Tamarind juice
01.Fry the fish. Put aside.
02.Prepare the sauce: Saute sliced onion, ginger and garlic. Add in blended onion, garlic, red chilies and ginger. Let them turn brown. Add in chili sauce and ketchup. Add in tamarind juice, salt, sugar and seasoning. Add in tomato chunks. Turn the heat off.
03.Add in fried fish in and cover it with the sauce. Sprinkle 'daun sup' on top.
04.Ready to serve with hot rice! :)
