Sometimes we are just too occupied with work that we don't have time to go out for lunch. (I am sure you have experienced that time when you don't even notice that lunch hour had passed!) Nonetheless, having lunch is important so that we would have enough "fuel" to last the day and continue working (until working hours are over, of course!).
So, why not we bring our own lunch to work next time? Here is a simple recipe for a "grab-and-go" lunch. (You can even try this recipe at your office's pantry – if the ingredients and utensils are available...) Happy munch ...oops, "lunch"-ing! :)
- White/wholemeal bread
- Sardine in can
- Bird eyes chillies (optional)
- Tamarind juice
- Oyster sauce
- Chilli sauce
- Baby tomatoes
- Salad leaves
- Cheddar cheese
01.Toast the breads. Put them aside.
02.Saute diced onion, diced garlic, slices of ginger and chilies.
03.Add in the sardine.
04.Add in tamarind juice, oyster sauce, chili sauce, salt and seasoning.
05.Wait till they are cooked and dried.
06.Place them on the bread.
07.Add salad leaves and tomatoes.
08.Place cheddar cheese on and cover with another piece of bread. Done!
